When Thoughts Wonder

I tend to take a lazy approach to meditation. In fact, I’m sure I do it all wrong. I don’t practice a particular meditative discipline but rather incorporate elements of many styles: mindfulness, mind-emptiness, deep breathing, focus, lack of focus, and an array of “meditation things of the day” about which my more sophisticated friends are raving. The truth is, though, regardless of the form or style, when I set aside time to meditate, it makes me feel great. Here’s a look at things I’ve tried, and why I’m a firm believer in “anything is better than nothing.”
